Mariah Carey's birth chart

Mariah Carey is the ultimate diva, the whistle notes, and the return of All I Want for Christmas Is You every single November. Her birth time comes from a biography, so we take it with a little caution. But look how well it fits.

Taurus rising: the voice above all

Taurus rules the throat and the voice. A five-octave voice, no big deal. Taurus is also luxury, comfort and beauty. The glitter, the heels, the bubble baths: her diva image is pure Taurus.

Sun, Venus, Saturn and North Node in Aries in the 12th house: the hidden warrior

Her Sun is in Aries, with Venus, Saturn and her North Node, in the 12th house of the unseen, secrets and the unconscious. That's huge. Behind the diva is a woman who lived through a lot behind the scenes. In her memoir, she described a difficult childhood and a first marriage where she felt trapped. In 2018, she publicly revealed the bipolar disorder she had kept secret for years. The 12th house is what we hide. And her life mission, with the North Node here, is to make peace with that invisible part.

Cancer Moon in the 3rd house: the little girl who sings

Her Moon is in Cancer, in the 3rd house of communication. Her emotions come out through words and music. Cancer is childhood, nostalgia, family. And Christmas, the ultimate family holiday. No wonder her Christmas song became a global ritual.

Jupiter and Uranus in Libra in the 6th house: the unpredictable worker

In the 6th house of daily work, Jupiter and Uranus bring a lot of luck in her craft, and a very particular rhythm. She writes and produces her own songs, something people too often forget.

Mars in Sagittarius in the 8th house: the comebacks

Mars in the 8th house is the ability to bounce back after a crisis. Mariah has had massive flops and triumphant comebacks. The Emancipation of Mimi was already a pretty telling title.

The bottom line

A Taurus voice, an Aries warrior who hid everything for a long time, and a Cancer heart that makes the whole world sing Christmas.
