Clarisse's analysis
The Weeknd is the voice of the night, toxic love and neon lights. His birth time is reliable, and his chart is honestly fascinating.
Cancer rising with Jupiter: the big softie
Behind the dark persona is Cancer rising, with Jupiter in the 1st house. Huge sensitivity, deep emotional memory and real personal luck. Cancer hides behind a shell, and for Abel, that shell is called The Weeknd.
Sun, Mercury and North Node in Aquarius in the 8th house: the mystery
His Sun is in Aquarius, with Mercury and the North Node, in the 8th house of secrets, desire, death and rebirth. That's why his songs are about sleepless nights, excess and dangerous passion. Aquarius is the avant-garde: he invented a sound before anyone else, releasing his first mixtapes without even showing his face. With the North Node here, his life mission runs through transformation: killing off a persona to be reborn. Which is exactly what he announced when he decided to leave The Weeknd behind and go back to being Abel Tesfaye.
Five planets in Capricorn in the 7th house: love is a construction site
Venus, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are in Capricorn, in his 7th house of relationships and partners. Five planets! Relationships are at the heart of his life, and they're anything but simple. Saturn brings lessons, Uranus sudden breakups, Neptune illusions. His high-profile romances have all fed his albums. The 7th house is also collaborations: Daft Punk, Ariana Grande… he often shines in a duo.
Scorpio Moon in the 5th house: dark creativity
His Moon is in Scorpio, with Pluto, in the 5th house of creativity. His deepest emotions become art, with an intense and sometimes unsettling aesthetic. He doesn't create to please, he creates to exorcise.
The bottom line
A Cancer heart hidden under an Aquarius persona, complicated Capricorn love, and Scorpio creativity that turns darkness into hits.
