Charles Manson's birth chart

Charles Manson was the leader of a commune called "the Family", whose members committed several murders in Los Angeles in August 1969 on his instructions. He was convicted in 1971 of murder and conspiracy. His death sentence was commuted to life in prison, and he died in custody in 2017. His birth time comes from his birth certificate, so we can read the houses.

Four planets in Scorpio in the 7th house: control through others

His Sun is in Scorpio, with Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, all in the 7th house, the house of relationships and other people. That's the most striking signature in his chart: Manson didn't act alone, he acted through others. Scorpio is psychological power, control and manipulation of bonds.

Moon, Saturn and North Node in Aquarius in the 10th house: the group leader

At the top of his chart sits Aquarius, the sign of groups and fringe communities. Manson built an image as a guru leading a community outside the rules. The 10th house is also public reputation, and his remained a dark one.

Taurus rising: apparent calm

Taurus rising gives a calm appearance and a kind of physical magnetism, in sharp contrast with the violence of his story.

The bottom line

A chart dominated by control over others and by the group. Astrology describes tendencies, never excuses: these placements lead to nothing like this for the vast majority of people who share them.
